In schizophrenia, there is a notable change is a person's behavior. These changes might include the following:

1)Social withdrawal

2)Depersonalization (losing touch with reality)

3)Loss of appetite

4)Loss of hygiene

5)Delusions

6)Hallucinations (usually hearing things not actually present)

7)The sense of being controlled by outside forces

Are People With Schizophrenia Likely To Be Violent?
The answer to this question is NO. Most people with Schizophrenia are much more likely to be withdrawn from others and will tend to keep away from outside contact but if provoked one may become violent.
 
What About Suicide?
Suicide is a serious danger in people who have schizophrenia. If an individual tries to commit suicide or threatens to do so, professional help should be sought immediately. People with schizophrenia have a higher rate of suicide than the general population. Approximately 10 percent of people with schizophrenia commit suicide.
